Meet the Owner - Dr. Mark Hale
Mark Hale has been creating art since childhood. His love and passion for art have led him to travel to some of the world's most storied museums.
After dedicating 32 years to pastoral ministry, Mark and his wife, Lisa, settled in the small town of Penn, North Dakota, which has a population of just 12 people. They bought a 110-year-old home there that they have been renovating. Additionally, they purchased the 128-year-old church across the street to eventually convert it into a residence.
In 2024 WaterMark Art Gallery and Gifts opened in Devils Lake, ND. Mark's studio is located at the gallery, so you'll find him there most days creating a new piece of art.
Mark is also on staff as a chaplain with Hospice of the Red River Valley where he has the opportunity to work with individuals who are graduating to the next life.
